FAQS

Useful Information

HOW DO I PLACE AN ORDER?

Welcome!! We cannot wait to hear about your event, your vision, and what you'd like us to create! To begin, please contact us by phone, text, email, or simply using the 'contact us' field!

From there, our goal is to reach back out to you within 48 hours to go over availability, your order, and pricing! If your event is soon (let's say tomorrow or this weekend), please send a text immediately following the form submission to ensure that we receive it right away!

WHAT ITEMS DO YOU MAKE?

This is the fun part!

While we specialize in custom cakes, cupcakes, and confections for birthdays, weddings, baby showers, anniversaries, and other events - we loooove creating anything and everything!

We have done custom cheesecakes, gender reveal cakes, piñata cakes, hot cocoa bombs, tea party dessert bars, fruit tarts, event dessert bars, scones, churros, tea sandwiches, and more!

The sky is the limit!

WHAT ARE YOUR PRICES?

Great question! With custom items, it is impossible to put a generic price on things.

Pricing depends on intricacy, materials used, timing of your event (rush fee), quantity and more! Reach out to us for a quick quote for the dessert you have in mind!

WHAT PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU OFFER?

With the climate of the world today, things are ever-changing.

As of January 2022, we offer the following payment methods:

-Square, pay with any Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover branded card

-Paypal

-Venmo

-Check

Payment directions/addresses are attached to the bottom of each invoice.

IS THERE A DEPOSIT REQUIRED TO PLACE AN ORDER?

Full payment is required to complete your booking and reserve your event in most cases.

Exceptions to this rule would include the following:

-For orders over $1000, 50% payment is required with the remaining due no later than 14 days prior to your event.

-For weddings or events 6+ months in the future, 50% deposit is required with the remaining due no later than 14 days prior to your event.

Deposits are nonrefundable, but can be applied to a future date and/or order.

DO YOU DELIVER?

Yes - and we actually prefer it!

Our pricing includes delivery to the surrounding areas. These days, we prefer delivery to limit our contacts outside of the bakery to ensure we stay up and running during these crazy times!

DO YOU HAVE AN ALLERGEN FRIENDLY KITCHEN?

Unfortunately, we do not cater to ANY allergies. Including, but not limited to: wheat, soy, gluten, dairy, etc.

By consuming and serving goodies created by Mad Batter Bakery, you are assuming liability.

DO YOU OFFER ANY VEGAN, EGGLESS, GLUTEN FREE OR KETO OPTIONS?

Yes, we do!

Although we try our best to ensure that items stay within guidelines of requested dietary modifications, it is not guaranteed.

HOW DO I KEEP MY PURCHASES FRESH?

Another great question! This depends on the specific order, materials used, event location, and time of year.

Typically cakes are transported semi-frozen for added stability and usually thaw completely within 15 minutes of arrival.

As a general rule of thumb, keep items refrigerated and pull them out about 20 minutes prior to serving.  For reference, most cakes are assembled on 12in x 12in boards, as an example of space that will be required in your fridge.

If any specific guidelines on storage apply to your order, they will be provided to you upon delivery.

CANCELLATION POLICY

We understand that things change these days, and aim to be as flexible as possible.

After going over the details of your order,  a detailed, itemized invoice is emailed over to review prior to payment being made.

If the order is cancelled within 24 hours of payment receipt, the entire amount paid is refunded. If cancelled after 24 hours, the entire payment is nonrefundable.

If a 50% deposit is made following one of the exceptions above, the 50% deposit made is nonrefundable.

In all circumstances, if an event is cancelled or rescheduled after the 24 hour payment grace period, the amounts paid to date may be moved in full to your new order/event date.

For example:

Example 1:

January 1st, 2022 - Invoice received and payment made in full
